Taj Bentota Resort & Spa, Bentota

After our friends' wedding where they stayed, the hotel was a bit disappointing in terms of room comfort due to a small bathroom and uncomfortable bed. However, the delicious food made up for it. Service was helpful but could use improvement compared to other hotels. The location, near the beach, was excellent, with beautiful surroundings and upgraded suite features. Dining had a great variety with delicious options. Facilities were satisfactory.

The hotel offers very spacious rooms, though they might feel a bit clammy at times. The garden view option for kids is a better value compared to the more expensive alternative. While the ambiance may not scream Taj luxury, the rooms are indeed roomy.

I had a fantastic stay at the hotel with clean and modern rooms offering beautiful views over the ocean. The staff was friendly and hospitable, although it did get a bit crowded on weekends. The lack of a water hose in the toilet was a minor inconvenience.

I had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The fantastic view of the Indian Ocean from my room on the sixth floor was truly breathtaking. The rooms were convenient, but I feel they could have been cleaner to match a proper 5-star standard. The accessibility to the pool and main restaurant was great for my grandparents. However, the dated look of the hotel might make it seem overpriced from that perspective.

The hotel is ideally located overlooking Bentota main beach, offering a nice setting to relax and enjoy the sunset. The rooms, while comfortable, are in need of refurbishment. The service provided was exceptional, with attentive and friendly staff catering to all needs. The dining options, although good with a wide spread, could have more healthy choices. Overall, a pleasant stay with beautiful views and great service.
